Hershey's Kisses were introduced in 1907 and are as popular now as ever. No one knows for sure how they got their name, but a theory is that they were named after the sound made by the motion of the chocolate being deposited when they are manufactured.

Hershey's Kisses were hand wrapped until the paper plume which extends out of the wrapper was added in 1924.
