It seems there was a young man named Henry who would hang around the Williamson Candy Store in Chicago where they made and sold chocolate.

The year was 1921. Henry would kid around with the young ladies who worked there making candy. Soon they began asking Henry to do favors and little jobs. They'd say, "Oh, Henry, would you get me ___?" or "Oh, Henry, would you do ___ for me?" Later that year, a new candy bar came out and it was named "Oh Henry."
